What was the motivation behind creating a private label?
Even though I'm not a designer by trade (my sketches from grad school were hilarious, but I tried), I know what I love and what I have to have in my closet at all times. Whether they are classics and staples or trends, I wanted to work with designers to create my own exclusives for the CN client. And that CN client is either a working professional, a stay at home mama, someone retiring, or a twenty something looking to always embrace newest trends.
How did 92 West come to be? What’s the personality behind 92 West? What types of pieces can we expect?
I wanted a fun way to reference the Half Moon Bay community and to get here you go "over the hill" which is west of 92. The name in itself is its own vibe. Like how Malibu references the PCH, we reference 92. It's so close to the surrounding Peninsula areas (Palo Alto, SF), which are so hectic and crazy, but worlds apart because of its own unique setting. 92 West plays around with trends and prints and is the piece you pull for a lunch, wine tasting, work meeting or date night. It's the dress you pair with a Gucci belt or Chloe slides.
What is the personality behind Habits? What types of pieces can we expect?
In my closet, I have such regular pieces that are my go to's. Those include the perfect ribbed tank, tee, bodysuit, cardigan. All staples in solid colors that compliment or complete an outfit. I joke that these are my habits, rituals, so that's how the name came to be. In our Habits collection you will find those mentioned pieces that you will want to stock up on and get in a variety of colors.
